Has anyone used plastic champagne flutes for their wedding reception. Does anyone know where I can buy some nice looking ones? Could no one please give me crap about how tacky it is. I can't afford glass, and I can't afford to rent some either right now, between bills and this wedding, it seems like everytime there is something that needs to be paid for..

A party store is your best bet, you can also look online i know that orientaltrading.com has them. If you get a caterer they will usually provide them.
You could try Joann’s or Michael’s (craft stores) – I am pretty sure I saw some at one of them. Best wishes on your wedding.
Are you sure your venue doesn’t have champagne flutes that they can provide? Most places have plain glass ones you can use.
Barring that, I’d go to party stores and check the wedding aisles; they may very well have something you’ll find pretty.
You may find that buying the good plastic champagne flutes may be as expensive as renting. Could you afford to buy a pair of real toasting glasses for the bridal couple and then using regular wine glasses for the guests? I’d prefer to drink champagne out of real glass in any shape than plastic. But, if you’re hell bent on using plastic, try shopping at a rental company rather than a party supply store. They may have a better Caliber of plastic than those two piece things that you have to put together.
Is there a local party shop (they sell party items)…I got plastic champagne flutes there that looked like real crystal until you picked them up…I think they cost 12.00 for six (they came boxed in sixes)
Bought 24…needed 20….they worked.
Don’t worry what others say, Hon…..having expensive weddings do NOT guarentee the quality of the marriage…..we had a simple small home style cold buffet luncheon after our simple town hall wedding…and here it is almost 4 years later and we are still as happy as the day we said ‘I do’.
I’m not being a smart ass here. If $ is an issue consider serving chapagne out of some other kind of vessel. You could have folks use their wine glasses or just about anything that will hold liquid. Or skip champagne and let folks toast with wine or beer or the drink of their choice. Just a few options.
No one is really going to get too worked up about the glass they drank their champagne out of. Really. I promise.
